A mentor is someone who allows you to see the hope inside yourself.
– Oprah Winfrey
Do you often wonder what mentoring is all about?
Landcare Facilitators and Coordinators in Victoria asked that very question, and in response Dr. Tamara Boyd, one of our Waterway Management Twinning Program Alumni, gave this excellent presentation which she is happy for us to share. Tamara runs through the fundamentals of mentoring – why, who, where, when and, more importantly, how does it work? There are many different types of mentoring which are discussed and recommendations given as to when you might choose a particular approach.
This is a great resource for anyone looking to find a mentor, be a mentor or investigate mentoring programs and approaches.
Learn about the Twinning Program
We believe investing in people is just as important as the waterways they care about. The Waterway Management Twinning Program is a structured mentoring program, focusing on improving the on-ground delivery of Victorian river and riparian restoration projects.
